The System of Internships is slowly assuming a prominent role in the Degree Law Programme. Today the employers expect one to possess practical knowledge and experience when they hit the market in search of a job. Firms and Corporate Sector are not willing to spare time for on-the-job learning any more. In such circumstances Internships provide the greatest learning experiences in a law student's life. At Shillong Law College we encourage the students to take up internships keeping in line with the University rules regarding the same. Each registered student shall have to complete twelve weeks of internship during the entire period of legal studies for three year unitary course and in any year it cannot be for a continuous period of more than four weeks.
