Establishment

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was formed on 30th July, 2018 as per the decision of the Governing Body of the College and also to initiate the process of quality sustenance measures along with volunteering for assessment and accreditation by National Assessment and Accreditation Council, NAAC.

This cell is dedicated towards quality upgradation of the college in academic and co-curricular aspects.


Objectives

The primary goal of the IQAC is to continuously look for innovation and methodology for conscious, consistent and catalytic action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.

It is also a vital strategy of the Cell to make every stakeholders, particularly the students, thoroughly aware about the various Laws of the Country and be pro-active in upholding the basic ethics of all judiciary practices along with being facilitator of delivering justice and sense of equality for all sections of people.


Functions

Some of the key functions of the IQAC are:

  1. Improve upon quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  2. Transparency in functioning of the College and dissemination of information on various quality parameters to all stakeholders.
  3. Maintenance and improvement of Infrastructure of the College.
  4. Organise workshops, seminars on quality related themes and impress upon various departments/cells/committees to organise such activities on the relevant topics for the benefit of teachers and students.
  5. Initiate contemporary Faculty improvement and training programmes.
  6. Preparation of SSR for assessment and accreditation by NAAC and subsequently the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC based on the quality parameters.
  7. Encourage faculty members to attend refresher and orientation courses as part of the preparation for their career advancement.

Strategies

IQAC shall evolve mechanisms for:

  1. Ensuring timely and efficient performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
  2. Being responsive and hence Optimise and integra of modern methods of teaching, learning and evaluation processes.
  3. Creating appropriate support structure in overall functioning of the college.
  4. Shall be responsible in ensuring the implementation advancement schemes of the faculty through organising screening/placement meetings in collaboration with the affiliating university and other relevant bodies.

Benefits

The benefits of IQAC:

  1. One of the major challenges of the IQAC is quality sustenance of the institution. IQAC is constantly engaged in channelizing various effort and measures toward the holistic development of the college. It endeavours to play crucial role in the implementation of decisions of the Governing Body of the College and also the recommendation of the Peer Bodies as and when such reports are received, viz. Peer Team Report post accreditation of the College.
  2. Facilitate and assist the administration in every respect, particularly focussing on academic quality maintenance and uplift.
  3. Maintaining close liaison with external academic and financial institutions towards quality enhancement and also facilitate internalization of the quality culture.
  4. Enhance and monitor various activities of the institution and institutionalize good practices
  5. To act as a change and forward-looking agent of the institution.
